普通的水(H2O)是由兩個(gè)只具有質(zhì)子的氫原子和一個(gè)氧16原子所組成,但在重水分子內(nèi)的兩個(gè)氫同位素,比一般氫原子有各多一個(gè)中子,因此造成重水分子的質(zhì)量比一般水要重。在自然界中,重水的含量很少。 由于普通水和重水都是由相同數(shù)量的氫和氧原子組成,兩者的化學(xué)反應(yīng)皆會(huì)接近相同。但在物理上,重水的凝固點(diǎn)(即固態(tài)水的熔點(diǎn))和沸點(diǎn)比普通水稍高,在一個(gè)大氣壓力下。
